Urban Archipelago

I've been enjoying reading this: Urban Archipelago. As a native Austinite that is still nostalgic for when Austin was a small(ish) town, I don't completely identify with being an urbanite. But I sure as hell wouldn't live in the 'burbs, so I guess I am. I often fantasize about living in the country, but then my fantasy doesn't include deer hunters and oversized pickup trucks with too many Amurican flags on them; something the country undeniably includes.

I'll be thinking about the many poignant points made by the Urban Archipelago. Found the link in Mark Morford's latest article in SFGate. I subscribe to his articles now, ever since being pointed there by my curmudgeonly neighbor amblongus.

new monitor blues

So, I bought a new monitor, and it's, uh, better, than the old one. I guess. It shows me how fucked up my graphics are. I noticed it on my idle time site. Ick.

So, new monitor blues. It's like finally getting glasses and seeing things that are kinda ugly that you hadn't noticed before.

The doors of perception...

The Pop Group jukebox: We Are Time

This is pathetic. What happened to my blog? All I feel like reporting at the moment is that I actually posted something on my other blog, The Pop Group jukebox, an mp3 blog dedicated to the mighty Pop Group.
